David Bailey Furniture Systems\' website makes it easier for customers to search for products on mobile devices
David Bailey Furniture Systems has launched a new responsive website to improve customers’ online experience when searching for its products on mobile devices.
In the last year, mobile traffic to the company’s website has increased by more than 50%, highlighting the need to make its website more compatible with smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.
Trevor Gillman, managing director of David Bailey Furniture Systems, said: “According to recent research by a leading construction recruitment firm, one in 10 architects feels under pressure to work on their commute to and from work – a huge 100% increase since the survey was last carried out in 2008.
“But it’s not just architects on the go that are surfing the net. 77% of mobile searches occur at work or in the home. Therefore it’s not surprising that more and more customers are accessing our website on mobile devices.
“Our new responsive site allows customers to read information and to view our products without the need for zooming in, as the clever responsive design automatically adapts to whatever screen size they’re using.
“For the first time, customers can also browse our extensive colour ranges for laminate door and worktops and request a colour sampler by post by completing a simple enquiry form.
“And, a new search function allows customers to type in what they’re looking for to get instant access to the relevant information, whether it’s a specific product, case study, or CAD drawing.
